YOUR SEAL HAS TO REMAIN SEALED
When establishing or decommissioning wells and boreholes, it’s crucial to use the highest quality bentonite as your sealant. You need to ensure a permanent seal and protection of the groundwater. The work you carry out is therefore hugely important for the local environment and groundwater resources. Every borehole and well must be left permanently sealed to secure our drinking water for future generations.
UNLIMITED SERVICE LIFE
In principle, bentonite has an unlimited life and will retain its flexible sealing properties in wells and boreholes for as long as the product is underground in its natural environment and moisture conditions. Even if soil layers and rocks move over time or tree roots penetrate the bentonite, it will constantly repair itself and seal up again.
WIDE RANGE
Our range of bentonite products for wells and boreholes covers most of the sealing tasks generally encountered.
The specific conditions will determine whether DantoPlug bentonite pellets, DantoGran bentonite granulate, or our pumpable, hardening bentonite products from the DantoCon series are the best solution. Whichever product you choose, they’re all based on Danish bentonite of the highest quality from our own quarry.
Below you can see which products we recommend for sealing wells and boreholes
DRINKING WATER WELLS AND BOREHOLES
DANTOPLUG / DANTOGRAN
When you seal a borehole or decommission a well, the result is largely dependent on the ability of the sealing material to adhere to the surrounding subsurface. Bentonite’s ability to follow the movement of the subsurface year after year is essential in ensuring a permanent seal.
GEOTECHNICAL BOREHOLES AND GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
DANTOCON CEM / DANTOCON THERMAL
When it comes to boreholes that demand a pumpable sealant, our powder-based DantoCon Cem products are often the ideal choice.
For geothermal boreholes that require a sealing material with high thermal conductivity, our new DantoCon Thermal is the product for the task.
