Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
At Dantonit, we work with EPDs, providing you as a customer with a transparent and accurate insight into our products' energy and resource consumption, as well as their environmental impact throughout all life phases.
What is an EPD?
An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) documents a product's environmental characteristics and is developed in accordance with recognized European standards.
Dantonit is the only Scandinavian manufacturer of certified bentonite products. We extract the bentonite in our own quarry in Tåsinge and produce a wide range of waterproof solutions for:
Membranes and ponds
There are many ways of constructing a membrane and many different materials available. Here at Dantonit, we’ve chosen to focus exclusively on membrane designs that employ self-repairing materials.
Wells & boreholes
When establishing or decommissioning wells and boreholes, it’s crucial to use the highest quality bentonite as your sealant.
Heat dissipation from power cables
When a strong current is passed through a high voltage cable, heat and power loss occur. If the heat level gets too high, it can have a negative effect on the life of the cable, and you may also risk the product warranty lapsing.
Sealing in the construction industry

Customized solutions
We are also happy to develop new, customized solutions based on specifications and requirements.
